St. Blase Polish School
|
Saint Blase Polish Catholic School is an integral part of St. Blaise Parish. It was established in 2003 as a diocesan school belonging to the Archdiocese of Chicago. Since 2011, the parish's pastor has been Fr. Wojciech Kwieceń. Currently, the school is led by Konrad Pawełek in the role of the Principal, with Elżbieta Sokołowska as the assistant principal and Beata Czachor as the religious education coordinator.
The school educates approximately 200 students, from preschool through high school, offering classes on Friday afternoons and Saturday mornings. The curriculum includes Polish language, history, geography, religion, and Polish traditions, with a strong emphasis on both intellectual and spiritual development (including preparation for the sacraments). Throughout the school year, we organize a variety of competitions, such as “Our Lady of Autumn,” “The Most Beautiful Rosary,” the Papal Competition, and the “Christmas Nativity Scene” contest, as well as concerts and performances. Our students also actively participate in events and competitions organized by other Polish schools, which allows them to develop their talents and strengthen their connections with the Polish-American community. |
